Evaluation My Strengths and Weaknesses

EVALUATION
Strengths-

· I have included the generic conventions of a magazine (Bar code, price and issue date and appropriate layout)

· I have used iconic students for both my cover and contents pages, with relevant shot types (Medium)

· I have used appropriate font types and sizes. For example, the Masthead is the boldest and largest font size, whereas the cover lines where a thinner and smaller font size

· I have used a plain off white background to make the model stand out

· I have included features that my target audience would like to read about. For example, I have included a competition to win a £5 Costa Coffee voucher that the TA had asked for

· My cover page and contents page are consistent as I have used the same colour scheme for each page

Weaknesses-

· I have used inaccurate branding as I used the nickname for a company. (‘Costa’ instead of ‘Costa Coffee)

· I could have edited my photos more accurately, as some parts of the hair look unprofessional

· I could have used more content on the cover page to advertise my magazine more effectively (more cover lines etc)

· I could have layered my magazine more effectively, using more banners across the page
